These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Piano Sight Reading (the “Service”), available at piano-sight-reading.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Piano Sight Reading is an online tool for practicing piano sight-reading. It generates exercises, tracks your progress, and can analyze performance from a connected MIDI instrument. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Accounts
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to use the Service.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any law or third-party rights.
- Copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the exercises, content, or software except as expressly allowed.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use automated means to access the Service in a way that places undue load on it.
4. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, generated exercises, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own sight-reading practice. We retain all other rights.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Some features may require a paid subscription. Where paid plans are offered, the applicable prices, billing period, and renewal terms will be presented to you before purchase. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you may cancel at any time with effect at the end of the current billing period. Statutory rights of withdrawal, where they apply, are not affected.
6. Your content and data
Your practice data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. You retain any rights you have in content you create; you grant us the limited rights needed to operate and improve the Service.
7. Availability
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or limit the Service for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us or other users.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the publisher’s place of establishment, as set out in our Legal Notice, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
